To advance conservation through research, experiential education, and immersive outdoor experiences. We plan to accomplish this by engaging people with nature and giving them the knowledge, skills, and confidence to do conservation work and recreate in nature.

Goals

  • Conduct research in wild areas to answer questions that help conservation efforts and management.

  • Provide experiential educational programs in conservation biology, ecology, wildlife biology.

  • Edu-tourism: Educational programs that immerse the public in nature and deepen their understanding of the natural world.

  • Involve students, professionals, and the public in research to promote science education and improve understanding of scientific methods and findings.

  • Promote the conservation of wildlands by teaching skills necessary to work and recreate in those areas so they can better appreciate them.
