Reconnect & Restore.
A Forest Bathing Retreat.
May 22 - 24
Experience a restorative weekend immersed in the practice of Shinrin-Yoku, the Japanese art of forest bathing. Over the course of this peaceful retreat, you’ll learn how to slow down and mindfully engage with the forest through guided invitations that awaken your senses and deepen your connection to the natural world. Enjoy nutritious, thoughtfully prepared meals, take in the stunning views surrounding our field station, and spend unhurried time in reflective journaling to anchor your discoveries. Each forest bathing session concludes with a calming tea ceremony, providing an opportunity for quiet conversation and shared presence. This weekend presents an opportunity to learn the art of forest bathing, nourishing your body, grounding your mind, and finding ease in nature’s restorative embrace. Once you learn the art of forest bathing, you’ll be able to carry its calming, grounding practices with you into every area of your life.

Anna Marie Nachman is a trained Forest Therapy Guide certified by the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy Guides and Programs. She recently moved to New Mexico from her lifelong residence of central Pennsylvania.
Anna Marie has a deep love of nature that extends back to childhood, where she spent much time throughout the course of her life in the forests, fields, and streams, playing, hiking, foraging for wild mushrooms, fishing, and simply, to escape into the quiet beauty the forest offers. She has been guiding Shinrin Yoku (Forest Bathing) walks since 2021 and looks forward to guiding anyone who wishes to reconnect with their own connection to the more-than-human world of nature, and to accompany and support them through the experience. It is her goal, in partnership with the forest, to open the doors to a possibility of an encounter that will balance the body, mind, and spirit of the participants, during which they may recognize and embody the whole of who they are.
